This webinar will focus primarily on common growing season identification (ID) features, such as leaves, flowers, fruit and bark. The webinar will also include some dormant season ID characteristics, such as buds, branching, bark and habitat.
County Extension Agents are often asked to identify a tree growing in a client’s yard. This webinar will take participants on a virtual walk to learn the various ways to identify some of Georgia’s most common trees. We will primarily focus on BIFs – Brief Identifiable Features for common native and naturalized species in the Coastal Plains, Piedmont, and Mountain areas.
