This Muni Mini session is about the logistics and technicalities of tree inventories and is
designed for staff and/or volunteers that are new to urban forestry and want to learn the
basics of tree inventories.
Presentations will cover inventory requirements and objectives, data collection devices
and tools, gadgets and techniques that streamline the inventory process. Speakers will
discuss what information to collect, what to leave out and how much time is actually
spent on individual trees. Attendees will gain insight on how long an overall inventory
should take, how to budget for an inventory and what to do with the data once an
inventory is completed.
