Join SAWW trainer Luke Saunders, Forester, Adaptive Restoration LLC, for a hands-on training in chainsaw use, maintenance, and technique. Spend time both outside and in the classroom, practicing how to operate chainsaws safely, comfortably, and productively.
This class is part three of a four level series through the Safety and Woods Working training program (SAWW).
Topics covered include review of information from Levels 1 & 2, focus on planning and executing difficult tree felling, precision at the stump, and planning and executing limbing and bucking.
Hands-on training gives participants the opportunity to fell and limb or buck at least one tree. Helmets are mandatory. Participants must be prepared to work and bring their own personal protective equipment, chainsaw(s) and tools for maintenance.
