Arborist or Horticulturist-Full-Time

The City of West Bend is recruiting for a full-time Arborist or Horticulturist position in our Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. The responsibilities would include horticultural practices, forestry operations, grounds maintenance, construction, equipment operation & maintenance, and fertilizer & pesticide applications. Specific responsibilities include maintaining the downtown Riverwalk and Eisenbahn Trail. This position would also be responsible for responding to customer calls and seasonal staff supervision. The ideal candidate will have an Associate Degree in the field and a minimum of three years of fulltime experience. Must hold or be able to pass tests necessary for WI driver’s license, Commercial Driver’s License Class B, and State Certification as a Commercial Applicator for Turf & Landscape. ISA Certified Arborist is beneficial but not mandatory. Minimum starting wage is $27.00/hour or DOQ. This position is open until filled.
