SUMMARY:Tour des Trees and the TREE Fund
DESCRIPTION:Registration to ride is closed for 2019; however we encourage you to meet the riders and pledge your support by donating to the Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund). \n\n\n\nThe Tour des Trees is the flagship fundraiser for the TREE Fund. Bicycle riders from around the world participate\, each committed to raising a minimum of $3\,500 for the TREE Fund. The TREE Fund solicits sponsors to cover all the costs of the 7-day event so 100% of the funds raised by the riders go to support research and scholarship. This event not only raises money\, but it raises public awareness of the need for professional tree care. Along the route there are educational events for kids\, public tree planting ceremonies\, media interviews and TV\, radio\, magazine\, social media and newspaper coverage that reach millions of people nationally and around the world. \n\n\n\nThe benefits of this event to Wisconsin Arborists are huge. Nearly everything we do to care for trees is driven by research and education\, much of it funded in part by the TREE Fund through its grant programs and student scholarships including the Bob Skiera Memorial Fund which the WAA initiated and is working to endow. The WAA is committed to research-based arboriculture and encourages members to support the TREE Fund through donations to Wisconsin’s riders in the Tour des Trees. Despite that\, historically only about 15% of members donate. \n\n\n\nMeet the Wisconsin Riders and Pledge Your Support\n\n	\n \n \n\n \n	\n\n \n	\n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n	\nDoug Drysdale\n \n Meet and Donate\n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n	\n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n	\nJeffrey Edgar\n \n Meet and Donate\n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n	\n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n	\nDick Rideout\n \n Meet and Donate\n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n	\n	\n \n \n \n	\n \n \n \n \n	\nTeam Kitty\n \n Meet and Donate\n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n	\n \n	\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n\n \n	\n	\n \n	Past Tour des Trees Photos
