SUMMARY:WAA 2021 VIRTUAL Fall Seminar
DESCRIPTION:WAA presents our 2021 VIRTUAL Fall Seminar\, available for viewing October 1-15\, 2021. This is a repeat performance of our In-Person Seminar from September 15th for those not comfortable attending In-Person Events yet.  This seminar will include a total of five hours of virtual learning and engagement with 5 CEU’s available through an online quiz. Watch the sessions at your own pace\, as the platform will be available for a full two weeks. You must pass the quiz with an 80% (16 of 20 correct) to attain CEU’s. WAA will let you know your results\, as the quiz may be taken as often as necessary to pass. SUMMARY:Aerial Rescue Training Workshop
DESCRIPTION:When a tree worker is injured or incapacitated aloft\, typically fellow crew members are the first to respond.  An emergency could develop at any time\, and tree care professionals must know how to react. \n\n\n\nTCIA’s Aerial Rescue Training Program helps protect your workers and meet the aerial rescue training requirements mandated by ANSI Z133.1 and OSHA. \n\n\n\nThis certificate program is designed to be used in combination with on-the-job training and practice\, so that crews have the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate an emergency situation and potentially rescue an injured tree worker. \n\n\n\n Registration starts at 8:00am.  Class to begin at 8:30am and be completed by 3:30pm. \n\n\n\nInstructors: Eric Freesmeyer\, Gary Kohler \n\n\n\nCapacity: 30 Beginners/12 Advanced \n\n\n\nBeginner student = person that has not completed TCIA Aerial Rescue Training Program.  They will receive a workbook with quiz to become certified.Beginning students should bring helmets\, safety glasses\, and lawn chairs.Advanced student = person that has proof of TCIA Aerial Rescue Training Program completion or has participated in the TCC.  They will be encouraged to take part in rescue scenarios using their own gear (if it passes inspection).  If you need a workbook to become certified\, please contact Ryan Rodefer ASAP (contact info below).Advanced students should bring their typical climbing gear\, PPE\, and lawn chairs.\n\n\n\nRegistration Deadline: October 13\, 2021 \n\n\n\n6.5 ISA and TCIA CTSP CEUs available. \n\n\n\nENSA COVID-19 Protocols: \n\n\n\nUpon arrival ring doorbell\, answer questions and have your temperature checked.Maintain 6’ distance from others and while indoors a mask shall be worn at all times.Individually wrapped sub sandwiches will be provided for lunch.
