Vegetation can be a serious challenge for arborists and utilities, causing service interruptions and even wildfires. Data-driven approaches based on reliable knowledge about the condition of vegetation support the transition from a cycle-based to condition and predictive-based maintenance, increasing the process efficiency and safety. Satellite data and space technology made actionable via artificial intelligence allow to identify and prioritize critical segments of overhead lines affected by vegetation and improve tasking and reporting processes for arborists and utilities.
