Outstanding Student Scholarship Awards
The Wisconsin Arborist Association (WAA), a chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, is sponsoring three Outstanding Student Scholarship Awards. They will be awarded to one graduate ($1,000), one undergraduate ($1,000), and one technical college student ($1,000) selected from the applications returned to the WAA
Scholarship Committee.
The awards were presented to the following students at the 2008 WAA Annual Conference in Middleton on February 5, 2008.

Jonas Bates – Technical Student Scholarship Award
- Jacob Wildeck – Robert W. Miller Undergraduate Award
- Joe Hoffman – Graduate Student Award
All of the following criteria must be met to qualify:
1. Applicant must be enrolled as a student at a university, college or technical college in Wisconsin.
2. Applicant must be pursuing a major, or have a main emphasis in urban forestry,
arboriculture, ornamental horticulture or related field.
3. Applicant must have a minimum of one semester of school remaining as of January 1st,
2009.
4. Applicant must complete and return a Wisconsin Arborist Association
Outstanding Student Scholarship Award application form.
